I started as the Station Executive Officer in June this year, and I can honestly say that the Defence Academy and Shrivenham Station are among the most exciting and rewarding places I have worked during my career. I am looking forward to working with colleagues, students and families across the station as we continue to make Shrivenham an outstanding place to study, work and live. I have received a very warm welcome since arriving and am excited to play my part in the Academy's future success. Sqn Ldr Jeremy Rowlands, Station Executive Officer

Welcome to the Summer Edition of the Shrivenham Community Magazine. So much has happened over the last few months that it’s difficult to recap all events. From Oxford County Council’s Civil Military Partnership visit to the Defence Academy in February, to Wine and Venison night in April, the Shrivenham community has been active.

Welcome to the Spring Edition of the Shrivenham Community Magazine. I can’t quite believe that 6 months has flown past since I arrived at Shrivenham, but there has been so much activity in that period! Thank you to all those who continue to volunteer their time and expend a huge amount of effort in supporting our wider Defence Academy and Shrivenham community. A big shout out to DAFFYS in particular, who have provided non-stop activity for spouses since the summer, and to the multitude of volunteers across Scouts, Girl Guides and activity clubs for the benefit of all our families and young people.
